Voices of Pearl Harbor
The first Voices of Pearl Harbor tour features Navy veteran Lauren Bruner, who was on the deck of the USS Arizona on the morning of December 7, 1941, when he heard the whine of a low-flying aircraft. Bruner shares his memories of the minutes that followed: of enemy aircraft pummeling the ship with machine gun rounds and explosives; of an armor-piercing “Lucky Bomb” that penetrated the deck and detonated; of the ship being engulfed by a massive fireball breaking in two.
