We are very proud – and also very humbled – to be a part of this extraordinary effort to share some of the history of Pearl Harbor through the first-hand stories of these brave and dedicated veterans.

VALOR; great courage in the face of danger, especially in battle.

Voices of Pearl Harbor

The first Voices of Pearl Harbor tour features Navy veteran Lauren Bruner, who was on the deck of the USS Arizona on the morning of December 7, 1941, when he heard the whine of a low-flying aircraft. Bruner shares his memories of the minutes that followed: of enemy aircraft pummeling the ship with machine gun rounds and explosives; of an armor-piercing “Lucky Bomb” that penetrated the deck and detonated; of the ship being engulfed by a massive fireball breaking in two.

Survivor Profiles

In collaboration with WWII veterans and survivors of the December 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor, Roberts Hawaii has launched Voices of Pearl Harbor, an evocative series of digital tours that share powerful, personal stories about WWII and the December 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor through the voices and recollections of its veterans.
