Lauren Bruner’s Story of the Attack on Pearl Harbor
Oral History T-Shirt
Lauren Bruner was 18 years old when he joined the crew of the USS Arizona in the spring of 1939. At 21 he was not only a witness to one of America’s greatest Naval defeats, but a participant during which time he was wounded by rounds from an enemy aircraft’s machine guns and burned over 73% of his body when the Arizona was bombed and engulfed in a fire ball.
In this t-shirt design, which is exclusive to Voices of Pearl Harbor Tours, Lauren shares his memories of the attack in his own words. It is “wearable history” and is a first hand account you will never forget.
As part of Voices of Pearl Harbor’s Oral History Collection, you may also be interested in Walter Beyer’s first hand account of the USS Bowfins 8th War Patrol and John Bollinger’s account of the Peace Signing in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945.
All three Oral History t-shirts from Veterans whose ships are now housed in Pearl Harbor are a great addition to your personal t-shirt collection. All three can be delivered directly to your hotel the next day or mailed home to be there when you return.
